Law and Grace. A lot of people burns with anger when it comes to this! Even myself had my own experiences of show down or battle or argument with even my friends. But the Holy Spirit showed me there's no reason! There's nothing to argue about! There's no need for this anger people of the Law feel! Let's get straight to it.
ITS TIME TO CALM DOWN!
THE LAW
Exodus 19
Vs 20 The LORD came down on the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain Moses went up.Vs 25 Moses then went down to the people and told them what the LORD had said
Exodus 20
Vs 1 God spoke, and these were his words
Vs 2 I am the LORD your God who brought you out of Egypt, where you were slaves
Vs 3 Worship no God but me
Vs 4 Do not make for yourselves images of anything in heaven or on earth or in the under the earth
Vs 5 Do not bow down to any idol or worship it, because I am the LORD your God and I tolerate no rivals. I bring punishment on those who hate me and on their descendents down to the 3rd and 4th generation.
Vs 6 But I show love to thousands of generations of those who love me and obey my laws
Vs 7 Do not use my name for evil purposes, for I, the LORD your God, will punish anyone who misuses my name
Vs 8 Observe the Sabbath and keep it Holy
Vs 12 Respect your father and your mother, so that you may live a long time in the land that I am giving you.
Vs 13 Do not commit murder
Vs 14 Do not commit adultery
Vs 15 Do not steal
Vs 16 Di not accuse anyone falsely
Vs 17 Do not desire another man's house, Di not desire his wife, his slaves, his battle, his donkey, or anything else that he owns
These same Laws were repeated in the future on Deuteronomy 5 6-21 and on verse 22 they were written on stone tables
Deuteronomy 5
Vs 2 At Mount Sinai the LORD our God made a covenant
Vs 3 not only with our fathers, but with all of us who are living today.
Deuteronomy 5 vs 22
Then he wrote them on 2 stone tables and gave them to me.
This was the covenants made by God with Israelites, a covenant that had 10 commandments Moses teached the Laws to the Israelites.
Deuteronomy 4
Vs 44 Moses gave God's laws and teachings to the people of Israel.
Deuteronomy 5
Vs 1 Moses called together all the people of Israel and said to them, "People of Israel, listen to all the laws that I am giving you today. Learn them and be sure that you obey them.
Because of Israel kept sinning against God and not keeping the 10 commandments he made a new covenant.
Jeremiah 31
Vs 31 The LORD says, "The time is coming when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah
Vs 32 It will be like the old covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. Although I was like a husband to them, they did not keep that covenant
Vs 33 The new covenant that I will make with the people of Israel will be this: I will put my law within them and writ it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Vs 34 None of them will have to teach his fellow-citizen to know the LORD , because all will know me, from the least to the greatest. I will forgive their sins and I will no longer remember their wrongs. I, the LORD, have spoken
This means- The Old Covenant will be 1. And the New Covenant will be 2.

The New Covenant
Jeremiah 31 vs 31-34 means there will be no more teaching of the Law because it will be written in the heart. The Law written in the heart means It will be known by heart and not forgotten. When it's not forgotten and known by heart there's no leaving by the law meaning to practice to live based on the Law, the 10 commandments for now they known by heart and living free from the practice of it for u now know it. It's like learning your name and knowing your name. Moving on...
THE FULFILMENT OF BOTH COVENANTS
Then the LORD became flesh
- John 1 vs 14 The Word became a human being and full of grace and truth, lived amoung us.
Jesus before his crucifixion solved the problem. You may ask how? This is the answer.
On Matthew 23 Jesus calls teachers of the law hypocrites, vs 1-3 Jesus told a crowed to obey what the teachers of the Law say but not to imitate their actions. On verses 13-14 Jesus said teachers of the Law lock the door to the Kingdom heaven, for them and everyone else. On verse 33 he called them snakes. On verse 35 they are murderers who are also responsible for Abel's death.
One of the Famous verses that boils people up is Matthew 5. Let's get to it.
Vs 17 "Do not think that I have come to to do away with the law of Moses and the teaching of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teaching come true.
This BOILS people up, but the Holy Spirit showed me otherwise! 1 The Law of Moses 2 is the teachings of the prophets that he came to fulfill. Meaning the 10 commandments stands as they are and the prophecy stands as it is. The Law of Moses was to be written in the heart as thre prophecy says, simple as that.
Vs 18 Remember that as long as heaven and earth last, not the least point nor the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with -not until the end of all things.
What things? The answer is the forgiveness of sin that goes with the New Covenant. The New International Version Bible says "until everything is accomplished. "
Jesus was crucified on the cross and said, "It is finished" John 19 vs 30
On Luke 24 vs 44 after his raising from the dead. Then he said to them, "These are the very things I told you about while I was still with you: everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the writings of the prophets, and the Psalms had to come true
The fulfilment is done the New Covenant began. Now what? There were still teachers of the Law who did not accept that the Old Covenant was chapter closed and the New Covenant began.
REJECTION OF THE NEW COVENANT
Roman 2
Vs 17 What about you? You call yourself a Jewish, n you depend on the Law and boast about God.
Vs 20 You are certain that in the Law you have full content of Knowledge and of truth
Vs 21 You teach others- why don't you teach yourself?
Vs 23 You boast about having God's Law but do you bring shame on God by breaking his law?
Roman 3
Vs 20 For no one is put right in God's sight by doing what the Law requires, what the Law does is to make people know that they have sinned
Vs 22 God puts people right through their faith in Jesus
Faith and Jesus never separates. We are nothing without faith in Jesus to God at all. Even heaven is not heaven without Jesus, life is not life without Jesus. After being put right with God by faith in Jesus Christ not obeying what the Law requires which is now written in the heart, this is where grace comes in.
GRACE
Roman 5
Vs 1 Now that we have been put right with God through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ
Vs 2 He has brought us by faith into this experience of God's grace, in which we now live. And so we boast of the hope we have of sharing God's glory
Roman 7 vs 7 Shall we say, then, that the Law itself is sinful? Of course not! But it was the Law that made me know what sin is.
Roman 8 vs 3 What the Law could not do, because human nature was weak, God did. He condemned sin in human nature by sending his mown Son, who came with a nature like sinful human nature, to do away with sin.
2 Corinthians 3
Vs 5 The capacity we have comes from God
Vs 6 It is he who made us capable of serving the new covenant, which consists not of a written law but of the Holy Spirit The written Law brings death, but the Spirit gives life.
Don't get confused. Remember the law was written- Old Covenant; stone tables and living by it, to obey the law, it's teaching. -New Covenant still written in the heart but not living by heart but by The Holy Spirit for the Grace of God through our Faith in Jesus Christ with sin forgiven, that's the New Covenant. Easy.
Allow me to finish this, Galatians 3
Vs 24 And so the Law was in charge of us until Christ came, in order that we might then be put right with God through faith
Vs 25 Now that the time for faith is here, the law is no longer in charge of us
JUST REMEMBER, IF YOU STILL SAY 10 COMMANDMENTS STILL APPLY TO JEWS THE ISRAELITES AND CHRISTIANS, JESUS CALLS YOU A HYPOCRIT, SNAKE, MURDERER, FOOL AND YOU CAN NOT ENTER HIS KINGDOM WHICH IS HEAVEN!
